Airfield Pavement Sealing Compounds
PMS-4 Pur Moulding System (Sealant)
A very quick setting, hard, 2 part polyurethane compound used to fix inset light fittings in the runway, taxiway or apron surface and to seal the cable slots. PMS-4 can be applied by hand but is generally applied using a Zel-Aaren mixing machine.
PMS-4 is trafficable minutes after application.
This compound can also be used for sealing vehicle detector loops in hard road surfaces.
Quick Seal Rapid Joint and Crack Sealant
A quick setting, flexible, 2 part polyurethane pavement sealant used to seal cracks and joints in bitumen and concrete surface pavements such as airfield runways, taxiways and aprons.
Quick Seal is trafficable 30 minutes after application.
This compound can also be used for sealing joints and cracks in hard surfaces such as car parks and on roadways.
Elasto-Coat
Elasto-Coat is an epoxy based compound that has been developed for repairing and/or coating concrete decks and roadways. The material is waterproof oil resisting, solvent resistant, acid resistant and is suitable for trafficking with heavy vehicles, forklifts, aircraft and the like.
Dry Cutting Machine
We hope to shortly have a dry cutting machine available to open out cracks in asphalt pavements to enable them to be properly sealed with Quick Seal.
Pox-seal
POX-SEAL has been developed to be used in joints between concrete paving and concrete-asphalt pavement.
The adhesion to concrete is excellent but due to the high alkalinity in the concrete, especially in fresh concrete, an alkaline barrier must be applied as a primer to secure the adhesion in the long run. In asphalt no primer is needed.
Zel-Aaren Mixing Machines
Automatic mixing machines can be supplied for lease, hire or purchase for both the PMS-4 and Quick Seal compounds.
These machines can also be supplied on a custom made, canopied trailer ready for work, complete with generator, air compressor, etc.
