Elasto-Coat

Elasto-Coat is an epoxy based compound that has been developed for repairing and/or coating concrete decks and roadways. The material is waterproof oil resisting, solvent resistant, acid resistant and is suitable for trafficking with heavy vehicles, forklifts, aircraft and the like.

Whilst the hardened finished material is suitable for heavy trafficking it retains its elastic properties and is suitable for permanent repair to cracks in concrete decks or making up broken corners of concrete bays, spalled edges etc.

Elasto Coat is by reason of its elasticity suitable for cable slot filling which has proven to be highly successful due to the inherent elasticity of the material, accommodating the differentials in the coefficiency of expansion between the cable and the concrete or asphalt surfaces.

Elasto-Coat can be adapted to be as stable or flexible as may be required to suit a specific purpose, by way of the addition of powdered rubber filler and or sand, added to components A and B during mixing. Filled Elasto-Coat is suitable for vertical concrete repairs.

Elasto-Coat is sufficiently non thermoplastic such as will allow the material to be utilised in fixing heated cables in concrete or asphalt decks for the preventing of ice formation.

Elasto-Coat was primarily developed for the aviation industry for runways and the like. However, the material is suitable for many other uses, such as waterproof membrane for flat roofs, tanking and damp proofing multi storey car park decks etc. The material is not subject to degradation from ultra violet light.

Elasto-Coat is suitable as industrial floor covering over concrete. Floor covering may be used for both light and heavy industrial use and is waterproof and resists oil and solvent.
